Responsible for implementing the Peer Mediation Program, a school-based conflict resolution program coordinated in elementary schools. Responsibilities include overseeing student peer mediators, training them, and managing and resolving conflict with students. Minimum 5-hour working shift, up to five days per week, working with K-12 students in a school setting.

Youth Suicide Prevention Training Specialist (Gatekeeper)
Responsible for implementation of Gatekeeper Program curriculum. The Gatekeeper Program is a school-based suicide prevention program delivered in middle and high school classrooms. This is in-person training and all COVID-19 safety precautions must be always adhered to.

Responsible for implementing restorative justice with Gryphon Place’s Restorative Practice Services in a school-based setting. Facilitate Gryphon Place’s Restorative Practice Facilitation Service, including circles, conferencing, and mediation when conflict/harm occurs between students, staff, and families with K-12 students.

This internship affords the opportunity of skill-building through collaboration with the Youth Resource Specialist and identified youth. Responsibilities include behavior assessment system for children (BASC3) and facilitating restorative skill-building workshops to area youth programs as assigned.
