On Sept. 13th, 2014 Gryphon Place will be hosting their first Annual Suicide Prevention Walk at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo. This walk marks the end of National Suicide Prevention week, a week dedicated to education and prevention.

"We are so pleased to provide this opportunity for the community to get connected and come together to prevent suicide. We are going to walk together to support suicide prevention, to support each other, to support our community because it takes a community to save lives." stated Assistant Director, Lacee Lyons.

This 5K walk will kick off at 9 a.m. in Bronson Park and will take walkers throughout downtown Kalamazoo.

"Our hope is that this walk becomes an annual event that the community looks forward to and supports" says Maricela Alcala, Executive Director.
