Volunteers receive intensive training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Customized training is available for debriefing both First Responders and for General Community Groups. This training is Certified by the International Critical Incident Stress Management Institute and follows the Mitchell Model. Experienced Volunteers can receive training to become Incident Coordinators. Training opportunities are sponsored in the fall of the year by Gryphon Place ; however, other Certified Training offerings are available.

The volunteers of Gryphon Place are some of the best. Their dedication and expertise is apparent. This is probably due to the fact that every volunteer has successfully completed extensive training. Currently, we utilize the services of over 100 people.
